Healthy Schools Award

We have been awarded our Healthy School status!

The Quality Assurance Group commented:

Your PSHE appears to be developing well with a comprehensive scheme of work and assessment practices emerging organically as teachers gain in confidence and monitoring gains momentum. CPD opportunities are being utilised from a variety of sources including the TaMHS training and PSHE guidance launches and network meetings. Pupil questionnaires are a feature in each of the 4 sections. You have much in place to support the Emotional Health and Wellbeing of pupils – and this is cascaded through your school newsletter.

It is clear that an ethos of Healthy Schools – promoting positive practices to support physical and mental health and wellbeing is a focus of the school, and the annual review is a ‘working document’.  You have identified mutually supportive, clear developments through your next steps.

There is evidence of much good practice.

Thank you to the staff and particularly Mrs Bowyer for all the hard work that went into the application.
