What does this tell you?
Well, the answer to the first question is 'yes' and children may indeed ask you if they can have a go at home. The children who tried it this morning all succeeded, using a different method from mine.
The point of the assembly was that many people - perhaps understandably - doubt their ability to solve a hard problem such as this and that, this year, I would like us all to:
- be confident, positive and believe (in ourselves);
- try, have-a-go, take a risk;
- welcome a challenge and overcome a problem, enjoying the great feeling that comes with succeeding in difficult circumstances.
